How To Look Dashing In Pa5h
London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2017 was a ball. When it comes to fashion in the capital, London like no other city, offers cutting edge style from the hottest talent around whether emerging or established. I was thrilled to be invited to such shows as Teatum Jones, Jasper Conran, and Eudon Choi that took place in Brewer Street car park – the new venue of the British Fashion Council. I have realised throughout the years as each fashion season goes by, however, that it’s more fun to attend mainstream shows as well as those of emerging designer talent. It’s important as fashionistas to educate ourselves about undiscovered talent so as to fulfil our own creative appetite with fresh and new ideas. Fashion is forever evolving with established brands providing a continuous dose of tradition to the industry while newer brands help to formulate contemporary trends with a taste of old-school tradition or glam. The latter resides in everything. As Coco Chanel once said “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky; in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening” On that note, one of my favourite shows this season was PA5H hosted by Forward PR.
When the poised nature of urban attire meets classic glamour, one can’t help but feel excited about the evolving journey of fashion as it continues into next season; spring summer 2017. Dasha Pash who established PA5H in 2014 has distinctively set the tone for next season producing a collection inspired by urban American subculture blending funky, street-style together with evening wear with an edge of eclecticism. Expect high-end sports luxe with a touch of 1980s glamour. Denim jeans, tailored jackets and a halter-neck top dripping in shimmering sequins conjured up images of happy-go-lucky disco-divas ready to party the night away. The collection oozed a confident attitude with a balanced mix of male and female models looking dashing in PA5H on the runway.
